  Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, Inc. (GIH) in cooperation with Hawaii Fashion Incubator (HIFI) and Hawaii Pacific Entertainment (HPE) will be holding a “Call for Talent”  in support of the inaugural Bank of Hawaii presents Goodwill Goes GLAM! Talent Showcase and Treasure Marketplace.

   

  Walk-ins are welcome, but those who register for the “Call for Talent” by Feb. 20 will receive priority line placement. To register online go to www.higoodwill.org and click onto Call For Talent Volunteer. 

   

  Attendees are encouraged to bring in their portfolios for review and placement by our team of industry professionals.

  If you’re a fashion design student in need of a clear and high quality portfolio, Budi Staven is here to help! Create a unified image of your best work to use in your future job search. Your finished product will consist of complete design concepts and work showcasing your unique point of view on color, fabric and design.
  

  
  Budi’s goal for each graduating design student is an effective and engaging portfolio that will help graduates compete with hundreds of other design students around the globe.
  
  Class meets for 4 weeks, twice a week - March 6-29
  Tuesday and Thursday
  4:00-5:30 PM
  $160 per student

  Budi Staven graduated from Parsons School of Design with a degree in fashion design. He has worked with Cynthia Rowley, Garfield and Mark, DKNY Jeans and Tori Richards. He's been teaching at UH since 2005: Introduction to Fashion, Fashion Forecasting & Marketing, and Design Aesthetic. From 2005 - 2011 he owned Blue Buddha, a boutique in Honolulu.

  Are you looking for the right party dress for prom (or any other celebration), and the only place you’re finding what you want is in your imagination? Budi Staven offers you the opportunity to make that dream dress a reality. Recreate a dress you already have, or create something from scratch. You'll receive Budi’s expert advice and input as you design and execute.
  
  Homework: Watch Pretty In Pink and get inspired!

  Wednesday and Friday, 5 to 7 PM
  $160 per student (6 hours optional Open Studio time included.)
