Fashion journalist Paula Rath has been a longtime mentor of Hifi, but even she was impressed when she set foot in our Ala Moana Center Pop-up Incubator. She scored some amazing finds (and even discovered a new designer or two) in our local design boutique "The Coop". Fashion Tribe - New Life for Old Tees, March 2011
Fashion writer Nadine Kam was a regular at Hifi's pop-up incubator. Charmed by the work of new designer Michelle Douglas (Meg By Design), Nadine kept coming back for more of the designer's ethereal work, and even took part in her t-shirt re-working class. At one point she lamented "Already, two weeks seems like too-short a time period for the Hawaii Fashion Incubator to be in operation." Read Nadine's blog here.

Hawaii Modern Luxury - Spring 2011
Hifi had its second turn in Hawaii Modern Luxury's Best of The Islands Issue. Co-founder Melissa White was quoted: "Once the community starts working together, there is nothing to stop Honolulu from becoming a fashion hub." Read the Style Section here.

Nadine Kam wrote up Hifi's proposed pop-up resource center as one of the top emerging fashion stories of 2011, stating that "With Gov. Neil Abercrombie voicing his support for the fashion industry in late fall, this may be the time to strike, and, to give people a taste of what a resource center might be like..."
